Grand Prix: Portugal eliminated

Portugal failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Grand Prix, to lose from Spain 3-1. In an attempt to revenge by final lost this year, the Championship of Europe, the Portuguese were profligate, and will now compete in the ranking between the 5th and 8th place.

In big game that animates the quarter-finals of the Grand Prix, both teams showed much respect among them worrying more defensive line. Even so were several opportunities in the first time.João Matos, Israel and Arnaldo came close to breaking the deadlock, while the Spanish side, who despite registering more possession, could just stick to the Portuguese defence with shots from far the most dangerous player was Kike, who came to send a ball against a post.

In Portugal the start was better, with Pedro Cary, Israel and Joel forcing Luis Amado the beautiful defenses, but who does not mark ... might suffer. Marino was unhappy to 25 minutes and introduced the ball own goal, despite the Organization assigning goal Torras.

Two minutes later and now Spain won 2-0 with Borja scoring when the gang of quinas sought to respond to goal suffered. However, the same player would score one more goal, but own goal, re-releasing the game.Bet on Portugal Israel as advanced goalkeeper, as already happened on Iran.

The Austrian national team has been creating occasions of danger, but couldn't convincingly beat the opposing goal, and one of the throws of counterattack, Rafa Usin established the final result in 3-1, although Leitão still has sent a ball against a post.

Portugal will now ahead to Argentina in contention for the 5th to 8th place, who lost with Iran by 2-0 after extra time.
