Futsal deaf Irish registered a clean sheet unheard in competitive action on Tuesday, they ran riot in its second European Championship group match against Cyprus in Switzerland.

Ireland, having already recorded one win 8-5 on Belarus in their opening group match, scored 12 goals against the Cypriots in a very one-sided meeting.

Cyprus were no match for the Irish, who maintained a pace from beginning to end with Joe Watson, an international Junior player, grabbing a haul of seven goals.

Irish coach Gleudson Junior was delighted with the performance, praising your team about the control that they exerted on the game.

He said: ' we were very patient and we took our chances fine. When the score was 7-0, he offered me the opportunity to ride players to avoid injury and also to provide our players with some valuable international experience. '

The Brazilian also praised the team to his attitude, discipline and the manner in which they recorded a clean sheet without picking up any reservation.

Ireland can now expect the final group match on Wednesday against Holland.

With qualification assured, the game will dictate which country Ireland will face in the next round.
