24 teams for the UEFA European Futsal Championship SAM-EFE

January 2010 19: 58 PM24 teams for Sam Futsal ChampionshipKUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 (EFE)-twenty-four teams, mainly from large media, will participate in the first Astro Arena-SAM Futsal Challenge in arena indoor Olympic Council of Malaysia (CMO), here on Sunday.

Director of championship Shaukei Kahar said that also participate in the Championship were the Melaka Press Club, Association football Malaysian Ringgit and the Club of football supporters of Kelantan, The Red Warriors.

"Initially, the Championship was not confined to mainstream media whose journalists are members of the Association Sportwriters of Malaysia (SAM).

"But to date, there are still many associations, especially the press clubs in Member States, who are interested in participating, but SAM had to restrict the participation," he said in the vote for the championship held in COM building, here Monday.

The Championship, to start at 8 am, will be held in a round of a League in the group stage before the knockout matches the Wednesdays and subsequent stages.

The champion will receive a cash prize of RM2, 000, runner-up RM1, 000, placing third and fourth place RM750 RM500.
