Summit of football players receive recognitions

FOOTBALL PLAYERS RECEIVE COMPLIMENTS


Several of the boys in Summit High School Varsity Football Team were awarded State-level awards for his performance on the field this year. The Conference of all awards are selected and awarded by bus from Conference 39 mid and all prizes all-State selected and are voted by local sports writers led by The Star-Ledger. Team MVP or coaches Awards are selected by Coach John Liberato and his team.

UNITARIAN CHURCH WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS


The Unitarian Church on the Summit welcomed 13 new members to the congregation on Sunday, 12 December. Some of the new members include Kari Cooper, Kieran Brown, Jeffrey Flynn, David Harris, Cheryl Foy Harris, Deb Holland, Robert Corrington, Lois Pereria, Trevor Bond, Lori Zuchowski and Rebecca Sinden Chin. The Unitarian Church is located at 4 Waldron Avenue at the Summit. UCS welcomes persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin, political belief, sexual orientation or economic circumstances.


REGISTRATION STILL OPEN FUTSAL


What is Futsal? Futsal is a form of indoor soccer played on a basketball court-size. The Summit Football Club is offering a winter program for Club members (U7-U14). Weekly Sessions will include training for skills development and scrimmages. Registration is now open in CCD's website: www.summitsoccer.org program cost is $ 125 per child.


Futsal program details:

10 weeks from January 8 and running through March 19 (no session on February 19) age groups and Times: U7 & U8: 9: 00 a.m. to 10: 00 amU9 & u: 10: 00 to 11: 00 amU11 & U14: 11: 00 to 12: 00 pmU13 & U14: 12: 00 to 1: 00 pmEach group is limited to 12 participants (due to space limitations of the gym).  Entries will be taken on a first come basis.  Training will be provided by USAParents participating players will be required to protect a session
